Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Freight Forwarding Sales Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients while driving sales in the logistics and freight transportation sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales management, inside sales, and logistics sales, with a keen understanding of transportation management principles.
Duties
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals in freight and logistics.
- Identify potential clients and generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach and networking.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of services and address any client concerns promptly.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by building long-term relationships with clients and addressing their needs effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales, within the logistics or freight transportation industry.
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Strong understanding of transportation management principles and logistics operations.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving revenue.
- Proficiency in inside sales techniques and contract negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with logistics management software.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- A results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving sales targets.
- Candidates must be local to the area, able to travel up to 20% as needed, and able to reliably commute to the office, as well as to client sites, daily.
