JOB DESCRIPTION
Serving as the primary point-of-contact for all service and repair matters, the Commercial Service Advisor's core responsibility is to listen and thoroughly understand customer problems, arrange for an appropriate service level, and set/manage expectations on the part of the customer and the technicians in terms of service delivery. The ideal Commercial Service Advisor has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in the commercial trucking industry preferred but not required, and has a strong customer service performance record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meets and greets customers in person or on phone
- Arranges prompt and accurate diagnosis of reported problem
- Manages delivery of required repair action by successfully setting and managing customer expectations
- Ensures appropriate parts inventory is maintained
- Promotes a 'white-glove' environment to showcase the repair facility
- Takes 'ownership' and accepts accountability for delivering outstanding service levels
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent telephone skills
- Strong computer and Internet skills (multiple platforms)
- CDK Global DMS experience highly preferred
- An impressive work-ethic
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Self-motivation and the ability to work in a team environment
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Genuinely helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
- Professional appearance and confident phone voice/skills
- Verifiable customer service performance record and/or training required
