The Commons Apartments Lead Maintenance Specialist will supervise and perform maintenance/repairs to Regent University Commons Apartments. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional facility maintenance technical skills. This position will be required to lead and supervise maintenance and repair crews to accomplish all related tasks/projects to high industry standards. This position will also perform all tasks assigned by the Commons Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Essential duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform all repairs and preventative maintenance necessary to ensure maximum safety and upkeep of Student Housing.
  • Coordinate with maintenance supervisor, Student Housing, and Facilities Services Director.
  • Attend to after-hour emergencies when on-call.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace while maintaining accountability of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ experience in general repairs
  • Must be able to use all types of hand tools
  • Experience supervising others in a maintenance shop environment
  • Must be able to lift 65 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for long periods of time
