Home Helpers of Bergen County is seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable Companion Caregiver to spend quality time with a female client at Rockleigh Jewish Home. This is a part-time role ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with seniors and making a positive difference in their daily lives.
Position Details:
- Schedule: 3–4 days per week
- Hours: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Location: Rockleigh, NJ
- Pay: $16–$17/hour (based on experience)
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Take client for walks and engage in light activities
- Offer gentle encouragement and social support
- Participate in facility activities and keep client engaged
Promote a positive, caring environment
Companion or caregiver experience preferred
- Some dementia experience is a plus
Friendly, patient, and reliable personality - Comfortable working in an assisted living/nursing home setting
