POSITION OVERVIEW
The Compliance Investigator performs investigations, under the direction of the Compliance Officer, designed to ensure compliance with all aspects of the Company’s Compliance Plan, including its vendor compliance procedures, customer due diligence/know-your-customer programs, government regulations, and industry standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Conduct background investigations using public records and commercial databases to verify information provided by potential vendors, independent agents, and customers
- Monitor customer compliance with policies and procedures
- Investigate notifications of non-compliance and take appropriate action
- Investigate potential compliance issues by reviewing the documentation
- Prepare detailed reports of findings and make recommendations to management on how to improve compliance with the Company’s Plan and/or regulatory requirements
- Maintain records of compliance investigations and cases
- Perform appropriate Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) investigations and review reporting processes that promote consistent decisions through the use of proper research and detailed documentation of findings
- Keep up to date on changes in relevant laws and regulations and ensure that the Company is aware of these changes
- Identify trends in compliance violations and recommend corrective action
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures designed to improve compliance
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- High School Diploma required
- Three (3) years of experience performing compliance investigations
- Accomplished in locating and interpreting information using Open-Source Intelligence
- Experience in using data obtained from proprietary sources such as commercial databases
- Comfortable entering and monitoring information via Google alerts or similar
- Knowledgeable with national and international company registration resources
- Comfortable running negative news searches manually
- Experience writing concise reports detailing findings as well as presentations to management personnel
- Ability to work with large amounts of casino data in multiple tables/spreadsheets and organize and summarize that data to achieve desired outputs
- Highly proficient with computer software, including Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with Members, management, and internal and external (e.g., examiners and vendors) guests
- Self-motivated, well-organized, ability to prioritize and efficiently perform multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in small groups without direct supervision
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
