Houston, TX | Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person | Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (No Weekends)
ABOUT SENIOR PSYCHCARE:
Senior PsychCare provides fully integrative behavioral health services to long-term care patients at their facilities. Our services include individual, family, diagnostic evaluations,
medication management, and collaborative interventions between therapy and psychiatric teams.
We are currently seeking a Compliance Specialist – Medical to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our clinical documentation, records, and internal processes with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and audit clinical documentation and data for accuracy and compliance.
- Compare data across multiple databases and identify discrepancies.
- Document and communicate non-conformance issues and track them in the appropriate database.
- Maintain and organize records, specifications, certificates, and other compliance-related documentation.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential compliance issues.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Provide ongoing training to staff on regulatory compliance and EMR systems.
- Support the development and updating of compliance-related policies and procedures.
- Assist with investigations of compliance violations and prepare reports for leadership.
- Coordinate with legal, billing, and clinical teams to ensure consistent compliance practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field (preferred)
Experience:
- 1.5 – 2 years of experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, or healthcare operations
- Familiarity with medical billing, coding practices, and electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems)
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable navigating online systems
