Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and maintaining piping systems in various construction environments, including fire sprinkler fitting and pipeline installation. This role requires proficiency in welding, fabrication, and the use of hand tools to ensure the integrity and functionality of piping systems.
Duties
- Assemble, install, and repair piping systems using various materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine layout requirements.
- Utilize FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques for welding pipes.
- Fabricate pipe fittings and components as needed for specific projects.
- Perform rigging tasks to safely lift and position heavy materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify leaks or malfunctions.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to pipefitting tasks.
- Strong understanding of basic math principles for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with fire sprinkler fitting is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively on a construction site, adapting to various conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.
