Project Coordinator / Scheduler | Lorton, VA
We’re looking for a highly organized, quick-thinking Project Coordinator / Scheduler to join a busy site development contractor handling both residential and commercial projects in the DC metro area. If you’re proactive, thrive under pressure, and can switch gears on a dime, this role offers the chance to be at the center of operations for a fast-growing, family-owned company.
What You’ll Do:
- Field calls from site supervisors and builders to coordinate scheduling needs
- Ensure all necessary documents are in place, utility tickets, signed contracts, work orders, and printed plans
- Manage and update the daily whiteboard schedule for multiple active projects
- Balance logistics for 25–30 commercial projects and 30–50 residential projects in various stages
- Keep schedules running smoothly despite last-minute changes from builders and shifting priorities
- Work closely with field teams to make sure jobs are ready to start and stay on track
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–3+ years of scheduling or project coordination experience (more is even better)
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Familiarity with construction operations and terminology
- A go-getter attitude with the ability to pivot quickly when plans change
- Thick skin and comfort working in a casual, construction-office culture
Nice-to-Haves:
- Site development experience
- Knowledge of pipe, machinery, or utility construction terminology
Compensation & Benefits:
- $60K–$85Kbase salary depending on experience
- Performance-based bonus potential
