Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the on-site execution of ground-up, tenant improvement (TI) remodels, tilt-up concrete, and retail construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing commercial construction in both new builds and renovations, with a proven ability to coordinate field activities, subcontractors, and safety compliance from preconstruction through project closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations on multiple project types, including ground-up retail centers, tilt-up warehouses, and TI remodels.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site labor to ensure high-quality workmanship, adherence to plans, and timely completion.
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
Conduct daily site walks, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
Monitor progress and maintain updated project schedules in collaboration with the project management team.
Review construction documents, interpret blueprints, and ensure work meets all specifications and building codes.
Identify and resolve field issues quickly, working closely with architects, engineers, and owners when necessary.
Manage inspections, punch lists, and turnover processes for successful project closeout.
Maintain daily logs, field reports, and schedule updates using construction management software.
Represent the company on-site with professionalism, ensuring strong communication with stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
5–10 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, including ground-up, TI remodels, and tilt-up construction.
Experience managing retail projects, including open-store remodels and fast-paced buildouts.
Deep understanding of building systems, sequencing, and construction best practices.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple trades on-site and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
