We are seeking a skilled Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and a passion for helping customers secure the right loans to meet their needs.
Responsibilities
Assists borrowers with completion of initial loan applications; review applications for accuracy, requesting additional information or detail as needed
Verifies information and financial history provided
Analyzes application and creditworthiness of potential borrower; determines or makes recommendations regarding approval or denial of requested loan
Ensures loan agreements are completed according to lending regulations and policy
Expert in lending products and effectively communicates options and terms to customers
Develops a robust referral network in the local banking community
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education
Two years' previous banking experience required; lending experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software program
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
