Global Intergrity Realty Corporation is looking for a Controller to manage our day-to-day accounting. This position has the ability to grow as we expand our portfolio and business lines. Real Estate Multi-family Property Management and Yardi experience is mandatory.
Primary duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Manages all accounting functions
- Reviews, evaluates and implements accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures all financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepares and presents financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
- Supervises monthly balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepares and presents monthly financial statements.
- Coordinates annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents.
- Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress.
- Ensures compliance with statutory payroll and property tax reporting.
- Monitors receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated.
- Oversees accounts payable function including but not limited to compliance with expense reporting, capitalization policy, and purchase order procedures.
- Assists with company strategic planning.
- Assistswith special projects as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises 4-5 employees within the Accounting department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum requirements:
- 5 years experience in multi-family property accounting
- 5 years experience with Yardi Voyager or comparable software
- 5 years experience managing an accounting team of 4 or more
- Education in accounting is highly preferred
- Advanced MS Office Skills
