Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of GAAP and have hands-on experience with various accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management and job costing. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage the accounting team effectively while ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
- Take full responsibility of the accounting department, designing systems and controls to optimize processes.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, account reconciliations and job costing reports.
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
- Prepare detailed reports for management regarding financial performance and variances.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in accordance with company policies.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Controller role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Enterprise is highly desirable.
- Experience with Construction payroll(non-union, certified payroll) processing and cash management practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information to stakeholders.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
