Manitowoc County is seeking a Case Manager for their Child Support Department. Under the general supervision of the Child Support Director, performs duties relating to the child support program which are relative to the establishment, enforcement and collection of child support and medical support payments. This position:
- Conducts inquiries and interviews to assess absent parents’ ability to provide child support and medical insurance coverage on intrastate cases. Locates absent parents in order to enforce existing support orders or to establish support orders and/or paternity. Determine birth expense reimbursement and ability to pay.
- Determines whether or not to proceed with establishing or modifying an existing order.
- Drafts petitions, orders, judgments, stipulations and motions relative to establishing, modification and enforcement of child support and medical support orders.
- Maintains case files, records and reports in accordance with State and Federal Laws and administrative procedures.
- Reviews the adequacy of existing child support orders and modifies inadequate orders either by stipulation or by recommending court action in established intrastate cases.
A high school diploma and whatever combination of additional education and work experience provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
