Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable First Aid Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating individuals in first aid, CPR, and emergency response techniques. This role requires a passion for teaching and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. As a First Aid Instructor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the safety and preparedness of participants in various settings.
Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover first aid, CPR, and emergency response techniques.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions that allow participants to practice skills in a safe environment.
- Assess participant understanding through practical demonstrations and written evaluations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid guidelines and best practices.
- Provide constructive feedback to participants to enhance their learning experience.
- Ensure all training materials and equipment are prepared and available for each class.
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages questions and participation.
- Collaborate with other instructors to improve course offerings and instructional methods.
Skills
- Strong background in first aid, CPR, and emergency response techniques.
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Experience in adult education or teaching, particularly in a classroom setting.
- Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for various audiences.
- Ability to engage participants through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with lifeguarding techniques is a plus; swimming proficiency may be required for certain training scenarios.
- Strong organizational skills to manage class schedules, materials, and participant assessments.
