This is an entry level position in Bell Capital Finance. This individual will provide support to the Portfolio Officers and senior staff within Bell Capital Finance. Primary responsibilities of this position will be performing financial and credit analysis for commercial loan requests within the Bell Capital Finance division. This individual must possess knowledge of financial accounting and financial statement analysis.

Primary Duties:

  • Analyze and spread financial statements for existing and potential new clients.
  • Assist in updating the client/portfolio trend reports.
  • Assist the Portfolio Officer(s) in the preparation of loan committee presentations, annual credit reviews and problem loan summaries.
  • Analyze interim financial statements of existing clients.
  • Monitor the credit facility once it is booked, including an assessment of interim financial information, borrowing base reports, and other supporting documentation.
  • Serve as backup in the oversight of daily overdrafts and any subsequent collection.
  • Understand and adhere to the Bell Capital Finance lending guidelines.
  • Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
  • Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
  • Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
  • Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Required:

  • B.A./B.S. in accounting, finance, or business-related field.
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
  • Working knowledge financial accounting and analysis.
  • Above-average written and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer technology.
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
