We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Custodial Manager to oversee the day-to-day custodial operations and administrative functions for a key facility in Miami Gardens, FL. This role ensures compliance with contract requirements, maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety, and leads a team of custodial staff to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee custodial operations to ensure compliance with contract specifications and service level agreements.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and payroll for assigned buildings.
- Provide hands-on support during staff shortages or call-offs—this is a critical part of the role.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement quality control measures.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper usage and storage.
- Interact with clients daily to address concerns, gather feedback, and identify service opportunities.
- Lead and develop custodial supervisors and team leads; provide coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Analyze operational and financial performance; implement cost control strategies.
- Submit accurate and timely reports, including payroll, labor variance, and operational updates.
- Attend company training workshops and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a service or customer-focused environment.
- At least 1 year of custodial or environmental services experience (healthcare or hospitality preferred).
- Experience with cost estimating and pricing services.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and chemical handling procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Florida driver’s license required.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
Leadership & Compliance:
- Supervise and evaluate team performance in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on safety, accountability, and service excellence.
- Ensure all documentation, including terminations and operational plans, is accurate and submitted on time.
