Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children from infancy through preschool age. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for implementing educational activities, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in their care.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning through play and exploration.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Monitor children's progress and adapt activities to meet individual needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements.
- Provide nurturing care for infants and toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Maintain effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and daily activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Experience in classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in Daycare or teaching position required.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
