Job Description
Are you a dynamic nurse leader ready to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals?
Join Unitek Learning as the Dean of Nursing for Workforce Development, where you'll lead innovative programs designed to train and empower nursing professionals through nontraditional, high-impact workforce education models.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the daily operations of our Workforce Development nursing program site
Provide guidance and support to nursing faculty and staff
Oversee clinical partnerships, calendars, and student placement logistics
Ensure program compliance with accrediting bodies and regulatory boards
Assist with curriculum implementation and faculty development
Support students through orientation, academic advising, and NCLEX readiness
Step in for labs, clinicals, or simulations as needed
Responsibilities Snapshot:
Coordinate with the Regional Dean on special projects and program strategy
Maintain site accreditation, clinical contracts, and student records
Foster strong relationships with clinical partners and serve as primary contact
Lead faculty meetings and at-risk student review sessions
Participate in curriculum updates, planning, and student success initiatives
Submit required program data and documentation accurately and on time

Compensation:
Salary: Starting at $90,000/year

Qualifications
- A valid and active California Registered Nursing License (for positions located in California), or a Registered Nursing License from the state where the WFD site is located.
- A master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing, education, or administration;
- A minimum of one year teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs (associate, baccalaureate, masters, or doctoral);
- One year’s continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and/or equivalent experience as determined by the Board of Nursing;
- Demonstrated leadership skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Committed to diversity, as defined by the California law;
- Ability to work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders;
- Leadership style that emphasizes collaboration, teamwork, and facilitation;
- Demonstrate proficiency with technology (MS Teams, Zoom, Learning Management Systems;
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams;
- Experience in supervision, planning, budget preparation in program maintenance.
