Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the deli area. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service by taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and assemble deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and other food products according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Provide training and support to new associates as needed, fostering a positive team environment.
- Uphold the quality standards of food presentation and taste while adhering to company policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or quick-service fast food restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Experience in fine dining or catering settings is advantageous but not required.
- Leadership skills or experience as an assistant manager in a food-related establishment can enhance your candidacy.
- A background in cooking or working in bars or hotels will be considered beneficial.
