Dental Assistant - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Our vibrant dental practice is seeking a bilingual (English and Spanish) Dental Assistant to join our team! If you have a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control protocols, and are committed to creating a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff, we want to hear from you.
We're looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Dental Assistant who can seamlessly support our dentists and ensure a positive experience for every patient.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in strict accordance with infection control standards.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using appropriate medical imaging techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, ensuring full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care, empowering them with knowledge for better health.
- Manage patient scheduling, including follow-up appointments, to ensure optimal patient flow and minimize wait times.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for managing patient information and appointments efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with the entire dental team to provide exceptional, compassionate patient care.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Dental Assistant is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
- In-depth knowledge of infection control procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with dental terminology used in clinical settings.
- Ability to operate 3D scanners effectively for diagnostic purposes.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in medical documentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
