Seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to support an oral medicine group, located in Federal Way, WA.
Dental Assistant Position Overview
- Pay Rate: Starting at $23.00/hr.
- Schedule: Monday–Wednesday, 8AM–5PM, Thursday-Friday 8AM-2PM.
- Location: Federal Way, WA

Dental Assistant Key Responsibilities, And Will Be Trained On The Following:
- Provide assistance during specialized oral medicine evaluations and procedures, including TMJ assessments, biopsies, and appliance fittings for sleep apnea
- Take and process panoramic and intraoral X-rays following ALARA standards and clinical protocol
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms, ensuring sterilization of instruments and adherence to OSHA and infection control guidelines
- Assist with the fabrication, placement, and adjustment of oral appliances and temporary prosthetics as directed
- Educate patients on oral appliance care, TMJ exercises, post-biopsy instructions, and oral hygiene best practices
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, including Spanish-speaking individuals, to ensure understanding of treatment plans and reduce barriers to care
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) – preferably Athena
- Support daily clinical operations by monitoring inventory, restocking supplies, and ensuring equipment readiness and cleanliness
Dental Assistant – Required Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience
- Recent dental or oral medicine experience (within the last 6 months preferred)
- Active X-Ray License and CPR Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- EMR proficiency required (Athena experience preferred)
