Our new dental office in River Vale, NJ, is opening Summer 2025, and we are looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The position will start with training at our Montvale, NJ office and transition to River Vale upon its opening. **This position is only for the Dental Assistant who has more than 1 year experience. Salary will be determined based on the level of experience.**
The position is full-time, with hours:
from 9 AM to 6 PM weekdays (Weekends OFF)
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medical coding.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-op care.
- Manage appointments and assist with front desk duties.
- Use four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
- Follow infection control and aseptic procedures.
- Assist with prosthodontic procedures.
- Stay updated on medical terminology for effective communication.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and coding is a plus.
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health systems is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.
- Certification in dental assisting preferred but not required.
