Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation within our dental clinic. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating personal information and insurance details.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding services, appointments, and billing.
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Assist in managing office operations, including inventory control of dental supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Skills
- Proficiency in using Epic or similar medical office software for scheduling and record management is preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dental coding is beneficial for accurate billing processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and staff alike.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
