Position Summary
As the Development Manager, you will work collaboratively with the Executive Director and the Director of Finance to provide leadership for the effective operation of all development activities of the Seton Center. Duties include managing the organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, capital development initiatives, and grant writing to support the overall organizational development and revenue objectives. Implements donor stewardship programs to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Create collaborative coordination between staff and internal stakeholders to plan events and communications to increase donor engagement.
Additionally, the Development Manager uses technology to manage and monitor donor information and produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals.
Duties and Responsibilities for Seton Center
- Assist with the creation and implementation of the Development Plan that incorporates a range of strategies including annual appeals, fundraisers, major donors, grants, corporate and individual appeals, and special events
- Develop and implement fundraising strategiesfundraising events
- Create and organize donor events
- Responsible for creation of the Seton Center's Annual Report
- Grow donor relationships and cultivate new donors through prospect research, outreach, and cultivation initiatives in both MD and PA
- Generate reports on fundraising activities and outcomes
- Manage acknowledgement letters and thank you notes to donors
- Create and update fundraising materials
- Work with Marketing Manager in ensuing consistent branding and content in donorfundraising communications
- Enter data into the CRM (Network for Good)
- Leads the grant writing team
- Active member of the Seton Center Development Committee
Knowledge and Skills Required
- An understanding of and commitment to the mission of the Seton Center
- Experience in meeting project/department milestones/goals and adhering to approved budgets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of communication principles and practices
- Knowledge of social media tools: Facebook, Instagram, and knowledge of website management
- Proficient in the use of various MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to use various databases such as Network for GoodCharity Tracker
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and follow through with minimal direction
- Project management skills and being highly organized
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish effective rapport with all levels of management, staff, and public
- Critical thinker with ability to identify issues and troubleshoot in a timely manner
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and be an effective member of a team
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and grant writing
- Bachelor's Degree in related field is a plus
- Certified Fundraising Manager (CFRM) is a plus
- Valid driver's license

- Reports to Executive Director

Hours: Full- time 40 hours per week Salaried- Exempt - $60,000-$65,000 annually
