As an Exception Investigator Writer at Lonza AG, you will play a key role in our ambitious research team in Houston, TX. This outstanding opportunity allows you to lead critical deviation investigations, ensuring flawless compliance with cGMP standards. Key responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality investigation reports, translating technical events into clear, concise summaries.
  • Analyze data, assess product impact, identify root causes, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in meetings, and provide investigation updates.
  • Conduct on-the-floor observations and associate interviews to gather investigation data.
  • Share investigation updates with internal leadership and external collaborators through presentations.
  • Support and mentor team members on complex deviations and problem-solving strategies.
  • Manage multiple investigations and meet strict timelines for closure.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in technical writing, ideally in biotech or life sciences manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP and quality systems; TrackWise experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Collaborative, dedicated, and adaptable to change.
