We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in an assisted living environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Serve meals to residents, ensuring that each individual receives the correct portion sizes and dietary accommodations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dining areas, and food storage spaces following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to resident inquiries and feedback regarding meals.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving food deliveries and organizing supplies.
- Adhere to all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on compassion and respect for residents.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices within the food industry is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team within the dietary department.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail during meal preparation processes.
