SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: To provide day-to-day clinical and administrative functions and supervision of inpatient clinical staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee all social services functions of Inpatient, Outpatient, and Activity Therapy departments with the assistance of Director of Patient Outcomes and Assistant Director of Clinical Services
- Identify, create and oversee the development of the clinical programs and services necessary to meet key mental health needs of the community in keeping with the hospital’s philosophy and goals
- Review Quality reports, results of patient satisfaction surveys, and results of patient outcome studies to modify clinical programming. Meets regularly with clinical staff to evaluate effectiveness of programming.
- Manage staffing FTEs according to an ever changing patient census
- Manage social services internship progam

Qualifications
Requirements:
Education: Master's degree in social work, psychology, or mental health counseling required; South Carolina LMSW or LPC license with current registration required.
Experience: Two years of management experience required. Three years of related experience preferred. Experience in psychiatric hospital setting required; range of experience within the continuum of care preferred (e.g. inpatient, outpatient, or IOP, partial).
Additional Requirements: Successful completion Management Aggressive Behavior Training (HWC) before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. Successful certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association for CPR prior to taking an independent patient assignment.
Work Hours: Day shift: 7:00am-7:30pm, Night shift: 7:00pm-7:30am. All shifts include every other weekend. May be asked to work overtime and flexible hours
