Director of Religious Education (DRE) - Catholic

Our stunning Mission-style church and campus are nestled between the beautiful Mingus and Red Rock mountains in Cottonwood, Arizona.
The Ideal Candidate possesses 3 or more years experience in the DRE function/role and is:
- A practicing Catholic in good standing who knows and loves the Catholic Faith.
- Passionate about serving a dynamic, devotional and growing Catholic community which includes a multicultural parish and K-8 school.
- Guided and inspired by our Parish purpose, which is to be God’s instrument to make people holy.
And:
- Possesses a happy, humble, servant’s heart.
- Takes full ownership of the Religious Education function for a growing parish.
- Oversees all RE, OCIA, OCIC and Sacraments education programs and requirements for children and adults.
- Manages all RE teachers and volunteers.
- Is the key liaison between the parish and school for the RE function.
Required Competencies include:
- U.S. Citizen
- Minimum 3 years DRE experience or the equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ParishStaq, or other ChMS; ability and comfort learning and customizing ParishStaq for the RE function.
- Demonstrated excellence in administrative and organizational skills, overseeing all RE and Sacraments records to ParishStaq and the Diocese.
- Demonstrated people management skills and experience, managing and supporting RE Instructors and Volunteers.
- Proven ability in Volunteer recruitment, engagement and training.
- VBS (Vacation Bible School) experience: organizing, managing, delivering. Both paid and volunteer experience are acceptable.
- Excellent people skills — work harmoniously with diverse demographics and calm under pressure.
Will consider non-paid/volunteer work for experience requirements.
