Major/Essential Functions

Chair and coordinate the institution’s CARE Team, ensuring best practices in case management and intervention and facilitate weekly meetings for timely and appropriate responses to reports of concerning behaviors.
Develop and implement CARE Team processes and protocols to enhance the effectiveness of threat assessment and intervention efforts.
Develop individualized intervention and support plans for at-risk students in collaboration with appropriate departments.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of CARE cases and Title IX reports in compliance with all laws and regulations.
Provide training and education to faculty, staff, and students on recognizing and reporting concerning behaviors, and outreach efforts to promote a culture of care, early intervention, and mental health awareness.
Serves as the primary point of contact for Title IX reports and complaints regarding TTUHSC El Paso students.
Oversee and coordinate the investigation process, ensuring a timely, thorough, and impartial resolution.
Coordinate student training and communication as required by laws and regulations regarding Title IX rights, responsibilities, and reporting procedures.
Coordinate support services for complainants, respondents, and witnesses, including interim measures and resources local to the student’s geographic location.
Respond to crises during and outside of normal business hours.

Occasional Duties

Travel to regional campus locations and for professional development and training.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related area plus five years of progressively responsible management experience OR a combination of education and/or years of experience in management to equal a minimum of 9 years.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or related field.
3+ years of experience in behavioral intervention, case management, threat assessment models, student affairs, counseling, or campus safety.
License in social work.
Certification in Threat Assessment (e.g., NABITA, ATAP).
Certification in Title IX and trauma-informed investigation techniques (e.g., ATIXA).
Training in crisis-intervention, de-escalation, or mental health first aid.
Familiarity with Maxient software.
Knowledge of Title IX, VAWA, the Jeanne Clery Act, and other applicable regulations.
