Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential in supporting our food service operations and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and organizing kitchen supplies.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and support during peak hours.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs for kitchen equipment to management promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
