Tasting/Retail Team Member - Part-time (including weekends)

St. Augustine Distillery is Florida’s most popular and entertaining distillery tour. Rated by TripAdvisor as the city’s #1 attraction, the distillery is located in the award-winning, historic Ice Plant complex. Our mission is simple: To make world class spirits using Florida agriculture and educate our guests how we make them from farm to bottle. Tasting/Retail Duties include but are not limited to:

• Offer a warm, open welcome to all our visitors
• Be well-presented at all times
• Build trusting relationships with customers
• Prepare all tasting mixers and product for cocktail demonstration
• Demonstrate live how to make our signature cocktails
• Answer customers’ queries and concerns with strong product knowledge
• Assess and identify customer interests and needs
• Recommend merchandise based on the individual
• Clean all equipment and utensils used for preparations.
• Help reset the tasting station & kitchen for the next group.
• Follow and complete all tasks listed on check lists.
• Help maintain an overall cleanliness of the facility.
• Maintain in-stock, presentable conditions and assist displaying merchandise
• Input simple data entry

Requirements:

• Aspires to be a part of a tight-knit team in a small, local business
• Excellent customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Stellar communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge or willingness to learn about craft spirits, cocktails, and distillation process
• Proficient in English; Bilingual is a plus
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift 35 pounds or more
• At least 21 years old
• Have high school diploma or GED; a BS degree in Marketing, Education, or related field is a plus
• Available weekends and holidays
• Possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and any other endorsements necessary to legally operate vehicles
• Has taken a tour of distillery
