Position Overview
As a Systems Engineer, you will provide direct support for the installation, configuration, integration, and validation of enterprise-class software and hardware systems across U.S. Navy platforms. This role is critical to enabling warfighter readiness and advancing fleet modernization initiatives.
You will operate on-site at Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) within the Naval Integration and Engineering Facility (NIEF), collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and cybersecurity professionals. Your efforts will directly contribute to platform certification and mission readiness by executing structured Pre-Installation Test and Checkout (PITCO) procedures in accordance with Navy configuration control and cybersecurity compliance standards.
Former enlisted or officer personnel with Navy IT, IS, or possibly Electronics Technician backgrounds (e.g., NEC 2790, 2780, 2735, 2710).
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure mission systems across UNCLASS, SECRET, and SR enclaves’ environments in accordance with approved Navy CICD pipelines and TDPs, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and operational readiness standards.
- Conduct pre-deployment system validations, including Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), to verify hardware integrity and operational conformity with established technical baselines.
- Execute system integration and configuration for core infrastructure components, including servers, network switches, routers, VTC endpoints, and endpoint protection platforms, ensuring secure and resilient system performance.
- Enforce cybersecurity compliance through the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and associated hardening frameworks to establish secure baseline configurations in alignment with DoD IA standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-level services and monitoring systems, including Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS), Navy Continuous Validation Infrastructure (NCVI), and Cross Domain Solution Architectures (CDSA).
- Perform end-user system provisioning to include imaging, system state snapshots, and creation of final configuration documentation to support delivery of integrated capability packages.
- Maintain direct coordination with system engineers and cyber specialists, adhering to documented Navy network architecture standards, software deployment procedures, and configuration management protocols.
- Must be a current active duty service member eligible to participate in the DOD Skillbridge Program.
- Secret clearance required (US citizen)
- Demonstrates operational proficiency in virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi and vSphere environments, with working knowledge of both Windows and Linux system configuration in support of multi-domain network operations.
- Applies foundational and advanced network security principles, including access control, segmentation, and secure configuration practices, in accordance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.
- Exhibits high attention to operational detail, ensuring accuracy in technical execution and compliance with configuration baselines; maintains thorough and mission-relevant documentation in alignment with Navy standard operating procedures (SOPs) and configuration management policies.
- Executes tasks within structured, procedural frameworks, demonstrating discipline in adherence to established checklists, TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), and documented engineering workflows.
- Completion of a SkillBridge internship at NIWC PAC or equivalent Navy IT environment.
- Hands-on experience with Navy IT systems or shipboard network integration.
- Knowledge of CICD documentation, STIG compliance, and system administration principles.
- CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570-compliant certification.
- Experience with CANES, ADNS, or tactical afloat networks.
- Familiarity with NIWC PAC lab environments and configuration management.
- Military job code similar to NAVY IT1 or IT2

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
