As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services that enhance the health and appearance of pets while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
- Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort during the grooming process.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and any observations regarding the pet's health or behavior.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as kennel management, veterinary assistance, or animal care is preferred.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming techniques, and animal behavior is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Experience in handling animals safely and compassionately is a must.
- Background in veterinary technician roles or equine care is a plus but not required.
