Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, physical education, and overall child development in a preschool setting.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
- Promote literacy education through interactive storytelling, reading activities, and language development exercises.
- Teach physical education activities that enhance children's motor skills and promote healthy lifestyles.
- Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies and individualized support as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning.
Experience
- Must have at Minimum a High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in preschool or early childhood settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
- Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management are essential.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- A genuine love for teaching and nurturing young children is imperative.
