To support student learning throughout campus by providing assistance to the teacher, lunch and recess programs. To reinforce school culture as students learn attitudes and skills. To maintain a structured and positive environment that is Christ-centered and offers a superior education academically, spiritually, and socially in a structured, positive environment.
Essential Functions
- Follow school procedures and policies in administrative and educational matters that are set by designated Principal, Head of School, and the School Board
- Responsible for supporting daily instruction of students and school routines
- Responsible to follow the teacher’s instructions in the classroom.
- Plan and execute assigned tasks
- Assist teacher with projects, grading, collating, printing and other assignments
- Participate in small group learning monitoring and facilitation
- Maintain an attractive environment conducive and related to the educational process, and the units and themes being taught, as well as daily orderly organization and maintenance of the classroom
- Responsible for supporting student management in keeping with the school discipline policy
- Support and supervise classes at lunch, recess, bathroom breaks, hallways and specialist classrooms
Other Job Functions – Responsible for:
- The safety and health of students in the classroom
- Arriving on time to your post
- Attending staff and in-service meetings as requested
- Set-up and clean up of classroom as teacher directs
- Timely planning of supply needs and informing teacher or lunch/recess supervisor of these needs
- Conducting oneself in a professional and Christian manner, both in and out of the classroom
- Fulfilling and maintaining all professional development training as required
- Fulfilling other related duties as assigned by designated Principal
Skill Requirements – Must include excellent:
- Communication skills in written and spoken word
- Teaching and classroom management skills
- Interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions and follow through on assigned tasks to completion in a timely manner
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Previous experience and/or training with elementary age educational programs
- Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to complete these within 3 months of employment.
Spiritual Leadership Requirements- this position holds a Christian ministry role
- Regular attendance at a Christian Church
- Profession of your personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Continuous growth in maturity through daily prayer, Bible reading, and witnessing
- Lead a life of Godly example including Christ-like relationships, attitudes, and character
- Agreement and adherence to the organizations Statement of Faith

Pay: $18.97 - $21.16 per hour
