Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced EEG/EMG Technician to join our neurology clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality electroencephalograms (EEGs), electromyograms (EMGs), and related neurodiagnostic tests under the supervision of a neurologist. This role plays a key part in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized EEG and EMG procedures according to established protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain testing process, and ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
- Apply electrodes and conduct neurodiagnostic tests, ensuring accurate electrode placement and signal quality.
- Monitor, record, and annotate findings and patient reactions during tests.
- Recognize and document normal and abnormal patterns.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation and electronic recording of patient data and test results.
- Adhere to clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with neurologists and other medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain inventory and ensure cleanliness and readiness of testing equipment and rooms.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience performing EEG and/or EMG studies in a clinical or hospital setting.
Proficient in using EEG/EMG machines and related software.
Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Bilingual [if applicable].
- Familiarity with EMG/NCS (nerve conduction studies) equipment and procedures.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
