Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrical Apprentice Helper to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in the electrical trade. Under the supervision of licensed electricians, you will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order
- Pull wire and install conduit with direction from journeyman or master electricians
- Prepare and clean job sites before and after work is completed
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols on job sites
- Keep materials and work areas organized
- Load and unload tools and materials at job sites
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Prior construction or electrical experience is a plus, but not required
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions
- Must adhere to safety standards and PPE requirements
Preferred Skills:
- Enrollment in or interest in an electrical apprenticeship program
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship, Temporary
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
