What You’ll Do
✅ Develop electrical plans, specifications and calculations for small to medium projects with limited supervision.
✅ Perform short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and power studies using ETAP or equivalent software.
✅ Troubleshoot electrical and signal issues; support I&E technicians on plant modifications or additions.
✅ Size equipment and specify components, including MCCs, switchgear, transformers and feeders.
✅ Review and redline P&IDs, drawings and specification sheets.
✅ Assist with project proposals, client meetings and scope development.
✅ Provide on-site support during plant startups, turnarounds and capital projects.
✅ Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
✔ A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
✔ 3-7 years of industrial electrical engineering experience (chemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial preferred)
✔ Strong knowledge of electrical design fundamentals (grounding, wiring, schematics, lighting, cable tray, etc.)
✔ Proficiency in ETAP (or equivalent) for electrical studies; AutoCAD experience preferred.
✔ Working knowledge of NFPA codes (70, 70E, 496, 497, 655, IECC).
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to manage multiple project timelines.
✔ Willingness to travel 20-25% to support projects and plant operations.
