Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Electronics Assembly Technician to join our team. You will work at our Pullman, WA office installing, troubleshooting, and factory acceptance testing all Raute electronic equipment, ensuring everything runs at peak performance. You may occasionally put your troubleshooting skills to work to diagnose and resolve issues, while visiting customer sites for machinery installation and service. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you’ll play an essential role in keeping our equipment operating smoothly and supporting our customers’ success.

In this role you

· Perform advanced electronic assembly work including board prep, soldering, desoldering, component replacement, touch-up, and prototype assembly.

· Work with electronic components (resistors, diodes, capacitors, connectors) on circuit boards. Attention to detail is key and requires knowledge of those component level parts to reduce quality errors.

· Consistently demonstrate and deliver high-quality work on time, demonstrating strong technical skills and attention to detail

· Use drawings, prints, schematics or written work instructions to inspect, assemble, modify rework and dis/reassemble hardware with limited supervision.

· Perform intermediate assembly tasks including tinning, component forming, harness prep, manual insertion, cleaning, and related ESD, safety, and documentation requirements.

· Collaborate with Engineering to share best assembly practices for proto-types and production assembly.

· Set up, configure and network an array of different production computers and electronics.

· Provide feedback to Management and Engineering regarding the adequacy of selected components and hardware for the assembly process to improve manufacturability.

· Preferred: Soldering certification and an associate degree in electronics technology.

In this role, travel time of 5% may be required.

To succeed in this role, it is ideal that you have

· Minimum 2 years of education or experience in electronic or electro-mechanical related assemblies

· SMT and through hole soldering experience

· Good computer literacy, familiarity with Windows, Linux, and devis networking.
