- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
- Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians by means of conferences, notes, phone calls, email and newsletters.
- Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere. Identify pupil needs, make appropriate referrals, and participate in developing strategies for individual education plans.
- Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Pennsylvania Music Education K-12 Certification.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents.
- Ability to express self clearly and concisely in oral and written communications; and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
- Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; to plan and implement lessons based on curriculum objectives and the needs and abilities of students.
- Well organized with good time management skills.
- Computer literate and competent with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
- Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.
