The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a 50-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services for Ohio’s Appalachian counties in Early Care and Education, AmeriCorps Seniors, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency, and serves the state of Ohio in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. We are currently seeking a talented individual who is passionate about “making a difference” in their community and join our growing team.

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an Energy Services Inspector to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to help income eligible households within our community be more energy efficient and save money. A certified inspector would perform Energy Audits for gas customers within the COAD territory. Inspectors are trained to perform a full home energy audit and safety inspection of gas appliances.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Performs energy inspections in accordance with utility program designs.

· Interacts with weatherization contractors and Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) providers to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of services to energy services customers.

· Accurately completes required inspection forms and reports in a timely manner.

· Provides leadership and a positive public image in promoting the programs and services of COAD.

Key Qualifications:

· Background in energy efficiency, weatherization, and/or HVAC skills.

· Ability to attain the necessary training and achieve required certifications

· Ability to work independently and travel within a multi-county area

· Basic math skills

· Basic PC skills

· Must have reliable transportation that can carry equipment and a good driving record (mileage will be reimbursed)
