What You'll Do:
The Enterprise Microsoft Cloud Administrator will lead the administration, optimization, and security of our Microsoft cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of our digital workplace and security posture across Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra), Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage identity and access through Entra ID (Azure AD), including conditional access, MFA, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Oversee device management and compliance policies via Microsoft Intune, including Mobile Device Management (MDM).
Security & Compliance
- Implement and monitor Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Office 365.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM and SOAR operations.
- Maintain data governance and compliance using Microsoft Purview (DLP, eDiscovery, Information Protection).
Operational Excellence
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
- Monitor service health, performance, and usage analytics.
- Manage incident response, root cause analysis, and service improvement plans.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with IT, Security, and Compliance teams to align cloud services with business needs.
- Provide Tier 3 support and mentorship to junior administrators and helpdesk staff.
- Stay current with Microsoft roadmap updates and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
What We Look For:
- 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure-based environments.
- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Defender, and Exchange Online.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Purview.
- Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles and cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with network technologies including switching, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Backup solutions or similar backup and recovery toolsets.
- Experience managing multiple Microsoft tenants.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
