We’re hiring a Staff Environmental Technician to work with our Farmington, NM, team. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of field projects from simple to complex. You’ll spend time working outdoors performing field tasks, traveling between job sites and the office, and you’ll work in the office preparing field data and reports. Interested? Keep reading.
Responsibilities
As Staff Environmental Technician at Ensolum, your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and they will typically include:
- Collecting soil, air, and groundwater samples for field and/or laboratory analyses.
- Creating detailed field notes and site sketches.
- Gaining knowledge and understanding of pertinent rules and regulations.
- Operating and maintaining field equipment and instrumentation
- Interfacing with client and subcontractor site personnel, regulators, and property owners
- Implementing health and safety best practices
Qualifications
We’re always looking for people who are self-motivated, learning-oriented, and client-centric. And to be considered for this role at Ensolum, you’ll also need a few more qualification requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable driving long distances and on unpaved, unmarked terrain (company truck provided for this travel)
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and personal vehicle
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and general data entry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices
- Able to pass drug & alcohol screening and background check
- Authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
It would be great if you also have:
- 1-3 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection
- Prior experience working in oilfield related industry
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
Exact pay within the posted pay range depends on qualifications and experience.
