Who we are looking for:
This position will primarily be responsible for performing inspections, assessments and field sampling using various media and in various environments. This position will primarily be working in our Geo-Environmental service line.
What you will be doing:
- Performs inspections, assessments and field sampling using various media and in various environments
- Operates light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to, pumps, vacuum, equipment, generators
- Reviews and analyzes historical sources and data to generate reports
- Performs basic calculations and computer data entry
- Prepares and maintains necessary reports and records as required
- Accepts training and direction from Staff II and III, Lead Scientists, Practice Leaders, and Director
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to have:
- Entry level position. 0-2 years of related experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline preferred
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance practices
- Proficiency with standard word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
- Excellent communication, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently and within teams to achieve goals
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening, including a background investigation, drug screening, and driving record check
- Ability to continuously sit, stand, and walk
- Ability to perform strenuous field work including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing on ladders and roofing systems, and entering crawlspaces
- Ability to work outside in frequent changes of temperatures
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach, push, and pull
- Ability to work in environments containing dust, mold, and hazardous materials with safety gear
- Ability to frequently drive to and from work sites, must have valid driver’s license with good-standing driving record
- May travel overnight (less than 35%) May work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
