COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Iowa Primary Care Association (Iowa PCA) has supported Iowa’s community health centers for over 36 years to expand access to affordable, high quality, integrated care. The Iowa PCA, along with our sister companies INConcertCare (INCC) and IowaHealth+ (IH+), provides training, technical assistance, and shared services opportunities in quality improvement, value-based care, health information technology, and other areas. We are now expanding our services through a new partnership with Iowa Health and Human Services to serve as the new statewide Behavioral Health Administrative Service Organization (BH-ASO). It’s an exciting opportunity to expand our efforts and connection to the broader behavioral health safety net.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Epic Report Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining reports and dashboards that support clinical and operational decision-making for system navigation and ambulatory care. This role partners closely with the Iowa PCA EHR Optimization team, system navigators, clinical leaders, and operational staff to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights using Epic’s suite of reporting tools and underlying databases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and optimize Epic reports using Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, Business Objects, and other reporting tools.
- Extract, analyze, and interpret data from Epic to support system navigation operations, quality improvement, and state reporting.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to gather requirements, define metrics, and ensure data solutions meet user needs.
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy, consistency, and performance of Epic reports and dashboards.
- Participate in reporting projects, such as patient access and referral analytics, visit documentation, data quality assurance, staff productivity, and population health reporting.
- Stay current with Epic upgrades and ambulatory-specific reporting enhancements and features.
- Assist users with training and troubleshooting in self-service tools like Slicer Dicer and Reporting Work Bench.
- Document report specifications, data definitions, and business rules in accordance with internal data governance policies.
- Ensure all reporting complies with HIPAA and other data privacy and security standards.
TELECOMMUTING AND TRAVEL:
This position is required to be on-site at least two days per work week. Some travel to community health centers and partners is required via vehicle or to conferences via air travel.
