Piper Companies is currently seeking an Equipment Management Chemist to work for an established biologics lab located in the Lansdale, Pennsylvania area.
Responsibilities of the Chemist:
- Basic maintenance of laboratories and equipment, performs all calibration and troubleshooting
- Preparation and communication of scientific and technical presentations, updates and reports to different groups
- Technical advisor for LabX implementation project; has SME level familiarity with LabX
- Support for business development and engineering teams as needed
Qualifications of the Chemist:
- 5+ years' experience in laboratory environment
- Experience with and knowledge of analytical and preparative chromatography; experience with balances, pH meters, conductivity testing
- Experience using HPLC/UHPLC instruments and related software such as Empower
- Understanding of common R&D and manufacturing practices and regulations regarding PPEs, handling solvents and chemicals
- Confident presentation skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time while undertaking benchwork
Compensation for the Analytical Chemist:
- Salary commensurate with experience; $38-45/hr Full Benefits
- -PTO included
