We’re seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Escrow Officer/Closer to join our growing team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience handling the unique nuances of new construction transactions.
The Escrow Officer/Closer will manage the closing process from start to finish, including coordinating with builders, lenders, agents, sellers, and buyers to ensure a smooth and timely closing. You’ll be responsible for preparing settlement statements, balancing files, and ensuring all compliance requirements are met—while delivering top-tier service every step of the way.
Duties
- Manage the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring all documents are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate with buyers, builders, real estate agents, and lenders to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Conduct thorough reviews of contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with regulations and TILA guidelines.
- Perform credit analysis and verify financial information as part of the escrow process.
- Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to closing costs and disbursements.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and correspondence.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, including FNMA guidelines, to ensure compliance throughout the escrow process.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and documentation management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of escrow processes and procedures.
- Strong familiarty with the new construction process
- Familiarity with regulations, FNMA guidelines, TILA requirements, and underwriting practices.
- Proficient in basic math for financial calculations related to escrow transactions.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform credit analysis as part of the loan origination process.
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for accurate data entry tasks.
- A background in financial services is preferred but not mandatory.
