We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Housekeeper at Holiday Inn Express Williamsburg VA to oversee the housekeeping department in our esteemed establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and housekeeping management, ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an outstanding experience for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules and staff assignments.
- Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are cleaned to the highest standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote a high level of performance.
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding cleanliness in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Oversee housekeepers, houseman, laundry attendants, and room inspector.
- Reporting to Operations Manager,Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
- Ability to know how to increase guest room scores and implement changes and polices directed by General Manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning practices, and janitorial operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Previous hotel experience is preferred but not mandatory; custodial experience will also be considered.
