Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Housekeeper to join our team in delivering exceptional hospitality services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping with exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and organization in a hotel or similar environment. This role is critical to ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere during their stay.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Direct and oversea the housekeeping team.
- Ensure employees are properly trained and complete Marriott computer training.
- Host Daily Smart Start meetings.
- Monitor employee hours.
- Conduct team daily team meetings to get team ready for the day.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for all areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain quality standards and promote a positive work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events and peak occupancy times.
- Respond to guest's special requests in a timely manner by ensuring they are carried out on time.
- Address guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution aligns with company policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends in hospitality and housekeeping practices to continually enhance service quality.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications.
- Five years' experience in housekeeping in a hotel with three years in a supervisory position.
- Proven experience in housekeeping leadership within the hospitality industry or similar settings.
- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, custodial services, and floor care maintenance.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in training and developing staff.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Work Schedule:
· Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
· Work require standing for extended periods
· Flexibility is a must – hospitality never sleeps!
