The Experienced Service Advisor will be the critical link between customers and service technicians in the dealership. You'll act as a customer service expert, technical communicator, and advisor, ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout the vehicle service process.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers, assess service needs, and clearly explain recommended repairs and costs.
- Schedule appointments, write accurate service orders, and coordinate work with technicians.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process and ensure all work is authorized.
- Review completed work, explain charges, process payments, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure accurate parts estimates and availability.
- Stay current on vehicle technology, safety protocols, and dealership procedures.
- Support overall service operations with inspections or other tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry. Land Rover or luxury brand experience strongly preferred. Service Advisor experience a strong plus.
- Certifications: A valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of automotive terminology and mechanical principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearly and concisely.
- Customer service focuses on building trust and rapport.
- Ability to actively listen, identify customer needs, and address concerns effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in computer skills and dealership management software (DMS).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
